AND WHAT TOMORROW-
This is my home.
Yesterday I played here,
Milking the moon
And mixing a bowl of stars
With whipping cream.
Yesterday I giggled at a game
of war,
For we used rubber darts, and
prisoners were released
By dinner time.
Yesterday is gone.
Today I woke with tears upon my face
And nightmares in my head.
Today there are no stars,
And war is blood and horror
With eyes that see but never
understand.
