HOPE

All those fears 
I could have eased,
those smiles
I could have given,
those faces
I could have touched,
the words I could have said,
the lips I could have kissed.

I try to snatch those moments
back but they are gone,
gone.

Is there another world
where these things
wait for me
to fill the empty places?

I reach for faith
enriched with hope.
